Okie dokie smokies, so yeah . . . maybe this doesn't count as writing tips again. But I feel like it could pertain to writing. I mean . . . these tips could really pertain to anything . . .
That being said, here are:
That being said, here are:
1. Make a List
This is probably one of the most important things you can do in your LIFE. Keep in mind I'm exaggerating here, but there are so many benefits to keeping a list.
First off, keeping a list keeps you goal oriented. You're more likely to do something if it's written down on a to-do list. Second of all, (and back to the subject of time management) keeping a list gets rid of what I like to call "thought paralysis." Basically it's that moment when you have so many things you have to do, that you're mind just freezes and you end up doing nothing at all.
Keeping a list, and keeping it prioritized, will get rid of that mind numbing uncertainty of what you SHOULD be doing next.

2. Only Do Important Things
There's something called the Pareto Principle which I don't fully understand, and is why I am linking it. But it's basically mathematical proof that you should cut out as much nonsense in your life as possible.
It's also called the 80-20 rule and goes as such:
80% of your SALES come from 20% of your CUSTOMERS. Hence . . . get rid of the other 80% of your customers . . . all they're doing is eating up your time, not paying on time or just generally taking away from the sales you COULD be making.
This does't only apply to customers and sales, but other things such as 80% of your ACCOMPLISHMENTS come from 20% of your efforts.
That being said, you can probably cut out about 80% of the nonsense and just pure noise in your schedule and focus more on that 20% that matters.

3. Complete Tasks with the Most Leverage
This kind of goes hand in hand with number 2. Basically just do your best to avoid mundane, frivolous tasks that get you nowhere . . . aka "busy work."
Successful people tend to do this, or even better they delegate these silly tasks to people - which you can do if you have money or own a company. And by doing this you can focus on the tasks that will get you the FARTHEST. Almost like the most bang for your buck, you might say.
If you keep these high-reward, CRITICAL tasks at the top of your list, you'll find yourself becoming more successful much quicker.

4. Delegate Smaller Tasks
Literally just talked about this, but I need to fill this post up, so bare with me.
Delegate your tasks. Give small, unimportant stuff to people you can pay. Or, on the other hand, if it's a complicated task, delegate that out as well too.
Your time is your most valuable resource. And I find a lot of people have this phrase in their arsenal of excuses: "Well I just want to save money . . . So I'm going to do it myself."
This is totally FINE if it's in your wheelhouse of tricks, or it's something that will actually GET YOU SOMEWHERE. But if you're doing mindless chores or taking on something you have no idea what you're doing (like coding a website or something) just HIRE someone to do it.
Sure it SEEMS like you're saving a lot of money . . . but you're actually losing a boat-load of time, which is something you will NEVER get back.
Time is more precious you can imagine, and if you want to manage it and be successful, you need to find a way to delegate your tasks (big or small) and focus on what really MATTERS.

5. Keep a Timer
I know this sounds crazy, but I do it for almost everything I do. And the reason is because if you don't feel that pressure of time breathing down your neck every second, you will grow soft and you will fail.
Okay, that does sound crazy.
But think of it this way . . . there are so many more people who are getting up earlier than you, staying up later than you and accomplishing more. They feel that pressure of time and they realize there is only so much of it.
If you don't keep track of time, and you don't keep a list, there is a good chance of you falling in a rut, working a 9-5 job everyday, coming home and just doing NOTHING.
Outside of your job you need to do SOMETHING. And it needs to be something you enjoy. Human beings were born to CREATE, ACCOMPLISH things and - believe it or not - CHANGE and make a DIFFERENCE in the world. That includes you.
That being said, I honestly forgot where I was going with this post, but hopefully you get the idea.
